about our studio
The Victorian period was prevalent in the 1840s and into the early 1900s because it corresponded to the reign of Queen Victoria in England. With the industrial boom in the 19th century, increased wealth and job opportunities arose. As more people moved into the city, new homes and mansions were built to accommodate them. Victorians are known for having extravagant taste, and these homes were a reflection of that. Wealthy homeowners wanted their large homes to be distinguished and different than other homes. The use of intricate ornamentation, various textures and colors, as well as beautiful woodwork are shining examples of Victorian architecture. Today, these gorgeous mansions and refined row homes are host to a wonderful community of businesses and shops in downtown Lancaster. The Yoga Path is one of them. The Yoga Path's stunning architecture adds to the experience of a peaceful and serene place conducive to discovering your "yoga space".
